A career in chemistry is a great aspiration.
The Chemistry Communicators’ Challenge was held for first time in 2018, and since then has been successfully attended by PhD and Masters students from different universities across Middlesex and Chilterns, as well as by professional chemists.
The event was organised by William Sharratt, Chris Wallis and Inma Andres, who wanted to create a new competition for participants to share and practice their communications skills.
The topics covered so far have included chemistry in daily life, the periodic table and famous chemists. By allowing the speaker to choose their own topic, the group has introduced a new way to communicate with and support the scientific community and help inspire others.
