Lori Stillman

Lori Buss Stillman is the vice president of research and education for NACS. Joining NACS in 2019, Stillman leads the association鈥檚 industry-leading research portfolio, which includes the NACS State of the Industry suite of products and events, Convenience Voices shopper research that provides moment-of-truth insights into shopping behavior, and monthly data insights from the CSX database and other research and insights programs critical to the convenience and fuel retail industry. She assumed responsibility for NACS education programs in 2022, including event content, online learning, and executive education programs available at Yale, Cornell, MIT, Kellogg and Wharton.

In 2021, Stillman was awarded a patent for methodology that forms the foundation of the NACS localized marketing platform, THRIVR. Launched in 2022 in partnership with SOCi, inc., she oversees the deployment of this solution, developed to enable convenience locations to manage their digital listings, social presence and reviews or reputation. She has led the modernization of data analysis and visualization capabilities with the creation of both the NACS State of the Industry Data Archives BI toolin 2023 and the Talent Insights Dashboard in 2024, advancing the analytical capabilities of NACS and its members.

Stillman has a deep background in data analytics, decision support, business development and consulting. Most recently, she served as executive vice president of analytics, insights and business intelligence for Advantage Solutions. Leveraging more than 30 years in the industry, she has also served as senior vice president of new client acquisition for Circana, vice president of marketing and business development for WEBCO General Partnership and senior vice president of strategic business development for NielsenIQ. 

Stillman earned a B.A. in business communications from Maryville University. She is active in the advancement of the industry, holding board-level positions with the NACS/Coca-Cola Retailing Research Council, Conexxus and the 蜜桃社区 Michigan University Food Marketing Advisory Board. She is also a frequent speaker on the convenience retail landscape and the impact of digital and consumer behavior disruption across the retail landscape.

She holds executive education certificates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for innovation leadership, the Wharton School of Business for financial leadership and the Yale School of Management for women鈥檚 leadership.

Stillman makes her home in Northern Virginia with her husband and daughter.
