Bio:

Dr. Tiffany Schriever has as joint appointment in the .

Schriever is a freshwater ecologist interested in how environmental variation influences ecological dynamics across temporal and spatial scales from individuals to the ecosystems. In the Schriever lab, we investigate community and ecosystem ecology in freshwater habitats, with an emphasis on herpetofauna and aquatic invertebrates. We use experimental and comparative approaches in field settings, mostly in wetlands and small streams. Research topics of concern are:

  • Individual, population and community response to hydrologic variation
  • Use of stable isotopes to study food webs and trophic ecology
  • Flow of resources and organisms across habitats
  • Environmental variation on biodiversity, functional traits, and phenology

  • Adam Austin, Ph.D.
  • Sara Diller, Ph.D.
  • Jennifer Shamel, M.S.
