Dr. Susan Pozo is a professor in the Department of Economics at 蜜桃社区 Michigan University.
She teaches a number of courses for the department that are global in nature. At the undergraduate level she teaches:
- International economics
- Contemporary international economic issues
- Latin American economies
At the graduate level, she teaches an international finance course and occasionally a workshop that focuses on immigration.
Pozo also directs and leads a short-term summer study abroad course in southern South America that covers the economics of Latin America.
Pozo's research interests include:
- Asset accumulation
- Currency crises
- Exchange rate uncertainty
- Immigrants' remittances
- Returns to international human capital
- Statistical properties of exchange rates
While some of these topics might seem unrelated, they all involve economic phenomena that are often difficult to measure. Her research has been funded by the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, the National Institutes of Health, the Fulbright Foundation and the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria.
