Charges 2015-16

  1. Facilitate communication and consultation concerning acquisitions, services, and circulation policies between 蜜桃社区 faculty and the University Libraries.
  2. Advocate for library resources and services that sustain and enrich learning, discovery, and academic and community engagement.
  3. Partner with the University Libraries to support and promote state-of-the-are facilities, expertise, and technologies that enhance learning, discovery, and engagement.
  4. Promote and advance University Libraries initiatives that support information literacy, student success, and lifelong learning.
  5. Conduct studies as directed by the Faculty Senate Executive Board.

NOTE: The Libraries Committee will seek information from the University Libraries to maintain communications with that office on issues directly related to it. The Libraries Committee is expected to keep the Senate Executive Board apprised of progress, especially in connection with any MOA it may develop and to give advance notice of any action the Libraries Committee seeks to place on the Senate agenda, including the final text of any proposed MOA, report or resolution. The Executive Board should also be notified of substantive procedural issues addressed by the Libraries Committee.

The Libraries Committee chairperson shall provide a written summary of the committee鈥檚 progress for the year; list the above charges noting each item鈥檚 progress and current status; any other activities undertaken; and draft charges for the 2016-17 academic year, no later than June 30, 2016.
