I came to ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø in the role of the Director of the School of Interdisciplinary Health Programs. Prior to that I had been in faculty and administrative roles at Southeastern Louisiana University, the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, Oklahoma State University - Tulsa, ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø Illinois University, the University of Tennessee – Martin, and MidAmerica Nazarene University. Our move to Michigan was an intentional end to the “nomadic’ lifestyle. My research has focused on adolescent health issues, especially alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention. My current research efforts are devoted to confirming the timeless principles of the teaching and learning process.
Fun fact:
My wife and I have a son, a daughter and a daughter in law. I play a variety of musical instruments and make my own guitars. I also ride my bicycles and motorcycle as much as possible – wind in my hair, bugs in my teeth! ;-)
