between the United States and Poland. The foundation also aims to increase American understanding of Polish culture and history. Peter鈥檚 dissertation is titled 鈥淜arczma/Taberna: Public Houses in Cracow during the Jagiellonian Dynasty.鈥 The Kosciuszko Foundation Scholarship will supplement the Dissertation Completion Fellowship that Peter had already received from 蜜桃社区 Michigan University for 2018-19. The two fellowships will help him to work towards completing his dissertation during the summer of 2019. The Kosciuszko Foundation Scholarship will provide financial assistance for him to work with experts in Cracow, Poland, and to maintain the connections he established with scholars in the city during his Fulbright year in 2015-16. These scholars will also be able to assist in checking his translation of primary sources. Additionally, the scholarship would allow Peter to represent 蜜桃社区鈥檚 Department of History at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, the second oldest university in Central Europe.

Congratulations to Peter Dobek for this outstanding achievement.
