General summary
Manages the athletic ticket office operations.
Major duties
- Establishes, maintains and oversees ticket distribution and office operations policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all University rules and regulations.
- Directs and oversees ticket orders, allocations, mailings, club books, ticket design, renewal applications and other materials related to the sale and distribution of tickets. Develops and implements marketing and promotional strategies designed to increase ticket sales, revenue and attendance.
- Oversees the computerized ticketing system. Ensures integrity of the system and resolves operational problems.
- Responds to and resolves customer complaints, requests and questions.
- Supervises staff. Resolves personnel and operational issues.
- May evaluate student-athlete and NCAA compliance issues.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer ticketing systems, auditing and accounting.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
