General summary
Develops and delivers training and provides support to instructors on the use of instructional technology.
Major duties
- Responds to instructional technology support requests. Analyzes support requests to identify trends, improve end user documentation and support procedures.
- Prepares, reviews and publishes training and self-help documents for end users.
- Develops and implements procedures governing faculty technology center support activities.
- Monitors equipment maintenance. Ensures hardware, software and peripherals in the faculty technology center are maintained and secure.
- Stays current with emerging trends in instructional technology. Makes recommendations to keep hardware and software standards current.
- Collaborates with the help desk to improve institutional knowledge base and resolution response times.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required experience
- One years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and creative software applications.

Physical requirements
Office or other indoor with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
