General summary
Directs the ongoing implementation and development of accounts receivable systems, processing, technology, and security.
Major duties
- Leads the development and implementation of ongoing system and process improvements. Analyzes problems and implements corrective action when required.
- Provides leadership and direction of the student information systems related to financial services. Works collaboratively with information technology staff to optimize the use of University software.
- Coordinates production for system upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements, including problem resolution and data integrity. Analyzes and manages system testing to ensure proper performance.
- Conducts research, prepares reports for internal and external use, analyzes data, and recommends and implements policy changes.
- Manages department application systems including authorization and security processes, audits, database management, and process workflow.
- Assists with monthly and annual general ledger reconciliation.

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Professional accounting or financial experience.
- Spreadsheet proficiency.
- Accounting systems experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting/moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors and/or any number of elements.
