Arts and sciences communications recognized at annual awards event
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The regional chapter of the Michigan Public Relations Society of America recognized ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø Michigan University marketing and communication professionals in the College of Arts and Sciences earlier this month.
The office received a gold, silver and three honorable mention accolades at the 2018 PRoof Awards May 1, highlighting the best public relations work of the year and the highest standards of performance in West Michigan. The annual event recognizes practitioners who successfully used skill, creativity and resourcefulness to address a communication challenge in 2017.
Of the 107 entries submitted, there were 77 awards in total. Judging was conducted by a PRSA chapter in Oklahoma City.

- Gold—Marketing and communications specialist Molly Goaley's story on capital interns, "Political Ambition"
- Silver—ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø College of Arts and Sciences Magazine
- Honorable Mentions—Sustainable brewing booklet; Goaley's story on alumnus Dr. Jim Olson, "Lighting Up Cancer;" and ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø College of Arts and Sciences primary promotional brochure
