College storyteller and marketer lauded for his impact, honored with staff semi-annual award
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø Michigan University’s College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) is proud to announce Chris Hybels as the recipient of the 2024 Spring Staff Semi-Annual Award. This high-achieving award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and make outstanding contributions in support of faculty, staff, students, administrators and all those served by CEHD.
Hybels, a marketing specialist in the college for nearly two years, has continuously been praised for his ability to capture the essence of CEHD's events and activities with unparalleled depth and richness.
"Chris asks probing questions to ensure his full understanding of the event he is covering so when he publishes information, the context is rich and captures the true spirit of the event/activity," states Dr. Suzan Smith-Ayers, chair of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. "Chris's dedication to understanding and conveying the nuances of each project ensures that our stories are not only told but told with authenticity and impact."
His commitment to the CEHD community, particularly our students, is evident in his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty, often working after hours to ensure the success of initiatives and events.
"Chris's unwavering dedication, exceptional talent, and genuine compassion make him highly deserving of the Staff Semi-Annual Award," said Nicole Leffler, associate director of marketing and recruitment. The Staff Semi-Annual Staff Award is a testament to Hybels' outstanding contributions and commitment to the CEHD community. Along with a certificate of recognition presented by college leadership at the college's annual staff appreciation luncheon, Hybels will receive a well-deserved $800 award.
