蜜桃社区x OFD Faculty Fellows

蜜桃社区x is particularly interested in fellows who can develop and implement programming in the following areas:

Creating and Sustaining Inclusive Communities

This fellow will work to develop intentional spaces, both virtual and physical, for 蜜桃社区 educators to network and connect around issues that are relevant to them, and particularly in ways that support the university's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This fellow will also build and expand upon OFD programming to take a more intentional approach to supporting BIPOC faculty at 蜜桃社区.

Learning Innovation

As part of 蜜桃社区x, OFD serves as a laboratory for learning innovation and provides transformational institutional leadership to develop highly effective teaching and learning experiences in all modalities and for all learners. This fellow will work with OFD and the instructional support team to develop and implement programming specifically related to supporting the creation of innovative learning experiences across multiple platforms and modalities.

The fellows will be expected to work collaboratively with the Director and current staff of the 蜜桃社区x Office of Faculty Development, the 蜜桃社区x instructional design and support team, and various other constituents across campus. The faculty selected for these positions will be provided with a one-course buy-out at part time rates in each academic semester and a 5.5% non-teaching stipend for one summer session.

Regular calls for Faculty Fellows will be made by the 蜜桃社区x Office of Faculty Development. Complete applications should include a current vita, and a brief letter of interest that clearly addresses the candidate's qualifications and interest for the position, and a letter of support from the applicant's chair or director. Applications should also clearly communicate the candidates intended area(s) of focus in one or both of the areas described above.

Questions about the Faculty Fellows program may be directed to Dr. Gwen Tarbox, Director of OFD, at gwen.tarbox@wmich.edu.
