Employee Engagement
Facilities Management employee engagement
Phase 2: Champion Workshop
During the engagement sessions, all employees were offered the opportunity to assist the FM leadership team in moving these ideas forward into action. As a thank you to the 75 champions, the leadership team hosted an appreciation breakfast and identified next steps. On March 3, 2020 this motivated group of individuals will participate in a workshop designed to refine the ideas from the engagement sessions and work along side the management team to continue our journey of improvement.

ACTION ITEMS & DISCUSSION
Phase 1: Employee Engagement Sessions
In early January 2020, Facilities Management held a series of employee engagement sessions that invited all FM employees to help drive our culture towards positive change. At the sessions, the survey results were shared and attendees were engaged in an activity to identify the challenges we face and develop ideas for improvement.
The rate of attendance, energy and open dialogue expressed in the meetings generated many exciting opportunities for our department. The sessions were focused around communication, collaboration, and fairness but the feedback resulted in a bonus focus area being identified: professional development.

IDEAS DEVELOPED
Business & Finance employee engagement
In November 2019, business and finance leaders participated in a workshop to identify division-wide objects for strengthening staff engagement with the overall goal to make Business and Finance a greater place to work. During that workshop, the leadership team reviewed the survey results and identified the dimensions of collaboration, communication and fairness to focus on. Each unit within Business and Finance then went on to share the survey results with their staff and develop three specific action steps for implementing that will promote either one or more of the three dimensions selected.
The business and finance leadership team will be reconvening in April to share the process and progress occurring in each unit.
Campus wide employee engagement
In March 2019, 蜜桃社区 faculty and staff took part in the first employee engagement survey the University has pursued in year. Campus town hall meetings, led by President Montgomery, were held to review the results. From those results, the President鈥檚 cabinet chose to focus on three dimensions: Collaboration, Communication and Senior Leadership. From there each vice-presidential area was tasked with engaging their areas, following a similar format.
Visit the 蜜桃社区 Employee Engagement website to view the survey results, feedback and other related materials.
Don't miss the next town hall on March 26, 2020 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the West Ballroom of the Bernhard Center to get an update on the progress of the university wide initiative!
