Fulbright US SCHOLAR PROGRAM
Each year, 800+ American scholars and professionals lecture and research abroad through the Fulbright US Scholar Program.
Fulbright awards are available for scholars at all stages of their career, including emeriti faculty who are seeking ways to continue their teaching and scholarship in an international context.
There is a Fulbright opportunity for everyone! These include:
Core Fulbright Scholar Program
The offers over 400 awards to US scholars and professionals each year to 135 countries, where they lecture and conduct research in various academic and professional fields.
Important dates:
- February 1鈥擳he Fulbright competition opens.
- September 15鈥擣ulbright national deadline.
Fulbright Specialist Program
The , a short-term complement to the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at overseas academic institutions for two to six weeks.
- Applications for the Fulbright Specialist Program are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed several times yearly.
