Summer Conference Assistant
Contract dates: | 4/29/24 through 8/9/24 |

Classes: | May take summer classes. |
Compensation: | $154 per week before taxes and residence hall room for contract duration. $840 in Dining Dollars to use in dining center and Campus Caf茅s. Note: SCAs must live in the conference residence hall and Residence Life is unable break any summer leases or housing contracts previously signed. |
Hours: | Varies, this is a part-time student employee position. |
Additional jobs: | May possibly hold additional employment. All additional employment must be discussed with, and approved by, immediate supervisor prior to accepting. If approved, it is with the understanding that the SCA position will take priority when scheduling and all other commitments must be approved by Conference Professional Staff. |
Primary Function:
Conferences: To assist conference staff with camps and conferences before, during and after their stay in the residence halls. More than one camp can be on campus at the same time, staying in different halls, and camps can range in size from 10 to 1,000 guests.
Summer: To assist the summer Housing staff with office tasks throughout the summer. These tasks include but are not limited to working in the Housing main office weekly answering phones, filing paperwork, answering e-mails, making copies, filing mail, and project work.
Desired Skills: Must be customer-focused, flexible with hours you are willing to work, be responsible, and have a positive, friendly attitude. Some moving of furniture may be required.
Specific Position Responsibilities:
- Desk responsibilities including: answer phones, guest questions, provide directions, lock and unlock doors
- Serve as part of a duty rotation while conferences are on campus.
- Provide for the needs of conference guests during their stay
- Administrative responsibilities
- Facility preparation
- Be familiar with halls and campus in general
- Other duties as assigned

Summer Resident Assistant
Contract dates: | 4/28/24 through 8/18/24 (you are unable to hold this position if you will be an RA or LCA for Fall 2024) |

Classes: | Must take three to seven credits for both summer I and summer II. Any exceptions must be approved by Housing. |
Compensation: | Room and $200/week before taxes during the contract period. No meal plan is provided. SRAs must live in the summer school residence hall and Residence Life is unable to break any summer leases or housing contracts previously signed. |
Additional jobs: | May hold additional employment with approval from the summer school hall director. |
Primary Function:
To assist students living in summer school housing during the summer by planning programs, building community, assisting with safety and security throughout the building and serve in an on-call duty rotation. Summer School RAs also work the hall front office during the week and assist with mail, answering questions and other office administrative duties.
Applicant Requirements:
- 2.6 cumulative GPA at the end of fall 2023 semester.
- Must have lived in residence halls for two semesters and have completed 16 credits by the end of the spring 2024 semester (16 credits does not include AP or credits obtained while in high school. Semesters lived in residence halls do not have to be at 蜜桃社区).
- Housing and Residence Life administers student conduct record checks of all applicants prior to applicants receiving an interview for the position. Student conduct records may affect an applicants ability to be hired as a student staff member.
Summer Orientation assistant

Compensation: | Room and $200/week before taxes during the contract period. No meal plan is provided. Note: SOAs must live in the orientation residence hall during contract period only and Housing and Residence Life is unable break any summer leases or housing contracts previously signed. |
Additional jobs: | May hold additional employment with approval from the orientation staff. |
Time commitments: | During orientation sessions the SOA staff will be needed for in-hall commitments, during both work days and evenings. Position also includes some weekend work. Please be sure to list additional commitments on application. |
Primary Function:
To assist students and parents during Orientation sessions. Orientation Assistants will help with check in, safety and security checks, work the front desk and communicate with orientation student staff in the building. Staff must assist with preparing student rooms and the hall for guest鈥檚 arrival and serve on an on-call duty schedule.
