The Institute for Intercultural and Anthropological Studies at 蜜桃社区 Michigan University is a multidisciplinary unit that serves as a home for programs focused on anthropology and interdisciplinary intercultural studies. It is home to 蜜桃社区鈥檚 existing undergraduate major and minor in anthropology, as well as the African American and African Studies major and minor. The institute may also serve as an administrative home for future interdisciplinary, intercultural programs in areas such as indigenous peoples studies.
In addition, the institute:
Fosters collaborative teaching, learning and discovery in the interdisciplinary intercultural studies.
Provides a community, including co-curricular programming and physical space for its programs.
Stimulates interdisciplinary collaboration in research and creative activities related to interdisciplinary intercultural studies.
The institute, which is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, officially launched in fall 2018.
