The Michael Scriven Dissertation Award for Outstanding Contribution to Evaluation Theory, Methodology or Practice

This award is presented to a student whose doctoral dissertation a significant contribution to the theory, methodology or practice of evaluation. The winner receives a certificate of recognition.

Eligibility

Doctoral students in any discipline from any institution who have successfully completed and defended an evaluation-related doctoral dissertation within the previous three years may apply.

Required nomination materials

The following materials must be sent via email to @email. Submitted materials will not be returned.

  • Nominee information: complete contact information, including nominee鈥檚 name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  • Nomination justification: a statement from either the nominee or nominator justifying the award nomination.
  • Letters of support: at least two and no more than five letters of support from members of the nominee鈥檚 dissertation committee and colleagues in support of the nomination.

Supporting documentation

A brief description of the dissertation of no more than 10 single-spaced pages.

Deadline

All materials must be received by Mar. 1. Faxed copies will not be accepted.

The award winner will be announced in April.

The Daniel L. Stufflebeam Travel Scholarship

Award description

The Daniel L. Stufflebeam Travel Scholarship is presented to a promising doctoral student in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. in evaluation program who has displayed outstanding academic performance in their graduate coursework. The winner receives $1,000 for travel expenses to the annual American Evaluation Association conference.

Eligibility

Doctoral students enrolled in the interdisciplinary Ph.D. in evaluation program at 蜜桃社区. Priority is given to students during their initial year(s) of study.

Required nomination materials

  • Nominee information: complete contact information, including nominee鈥檚 name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Nomination justification: a statement from either the nominee or nominator justifying the award nomination.
  • Letter of support: at least one and no more than two letters of support from instructors and colleagues in support of the nomination.
  • Supporting documentation: a curriculum vitae or resume of no more than 10 pages.
