Research and Innovation Digital Newsletter October 2021

DEAR COLLEAGUES

In this edition of the ORI newsletter, please note the workshops that we will have regarding the rollout of Cayuse. There will be a Discovery Acceleration Workshop on Cayuse for proposal submissions on Monday, Oct. 25. Please take this opportunity to learn about our new systems.

I want to get to know about the research that you do. Please invite me to your lab or research space so that I may learn about the exciting work that you do. The best way to get on my calendar is to contact Kelli Bond. She will assist you in getting time scheduled with me.

I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about the breadth of research performed at ÃÛÌÒÉçÇø.

Regards,

Steven M. Carr, Ph.D.
Interim Vice President for Research and Innovation

We are going to miss her and wish her luck in her new endeavor. Please reach out to her with your well wishes.

Post-graduate research funding available
The Innovation Partnerships Talent Network (T3N) was created in 2012 to enhance the early-phase commercialization of university-developed technology with talent programs and resources. It is supported by funding from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the statewide economic development organization for Michigan, and matched by each participating university.

Talent resources funded by T3N include the University Post-Graduate Fellowships. This fellowship provides funds to help post-graduate students work on technology or startup development and commercialization, increasing the chances for a license or startup in Michigan and a potential employment opportunity for the post-graduate. Contact Dr. Steven J. Weber for more information.
