ENGR 4950: Women and Leadership

STEP has created a one credit hour course for incoming first-year and transfer students entitled Women and Leadership. This topics course introduces you to successful women in science and engineering programs in the U.S. who provide powerful insight on their experiences in engineering fileds. Other presenters include a student panel comprised of current female CEAS students to discuss classes, internships, tutoring and registered student organization opportunities. When you enroll in this course, you will also be assigned a mentor who is also a female graduate of 蜜桃社区's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences there to be another supporter in your engineering journey.

For more information about the Women in Leadership course, contact the course facilitator, Anetra Grice.

Additionally, SWE members are eligible for a wide range of scholarships provided by the national chapter to pursue your engineering goals.

National and Regional Conference

The SWE national and regional conferences are one of the most helpful events to attend. At the conferences students can attend information sessions, meet representatives, and experience a career fair that hosts interviews for various jobs, co-ops, and internships.

"蜜桃社区 offers so many resources to get involved on campus in what interests you. What you get involved in opens so many new doors and may be the key step in finding your place after graduation. Make the most of your time here!鈥 - Jessica Schneider
