Fraternity and Sorority Life

Today, 蜜桃社区's growing Fraternity and Sorority Life community includes 34 chapters across 5 councils, providing numerous incredible opportunities to make your mark on your campus and get involved in your communities. Over 1000 students are involved in fraternities and sororities, not only for the relationships they build, but also for the personal and professional growth experienced by members of these organizations. Each of our organizations is founded on a set of shared ideals: academic growth and achievement, leadership development, service to community, and building positive, long-term relationships. Members of fraternities and sororities have the chance to socialize with each other, raise money for local and national philanthropic causes and organizations, volunteer their time and talent in their communities, network with members across the country (and the world!), and bring their own organization to new heights by serving on committees and holding leadership positions, both on the chapter and council level.

Fraternity & Sorority Life History

Fraternities and sororities have been a key part of campus life across the nation since their inception in the late 1700s at the College of William & Mary. Greek-letter organizations (GLOs) were created as a way for students to find a "home away from home" during their college years, and are rooted in friendship, service to their communities, loyalty, and scholarship.
