Occupational Health

Experienced providers close to your workplace

Sindecuse Health center is the provider of occupational health services to 蜜桃社区 Michigan University.

Injuries

When an injury occurs in the work setting, supervisors or managers should direct patients to Sindecuse Health Center for treatment. An accident report form is required to be filled out and submitted to 蜜桃社区 Environmental Health and Safety, who monitor worker's comp claims and cases. Injured employees will be seen as soon as possible in the clinic and returned to work if possible.

With an on-site X-ray, lab services, a pharmacy and physical therapists, patients receive immediate medical attention at one facility and during one visit. If an injury occurs when the health center is closed, employees seek care at another facility, and are expected to follow up with the health center's staff when stable at their earliest opportunity.

Sindecuse Health Center鈥檚 physicians, PAs and physical therapists will coordinate worker鈥檚 compensation medical care and return to work assignments.

Pre-employment exams

University departments with pre-employment physical fitness requirements arrange for new hires to be evaluated by health center medical staff. These may include drug screening and physical capability tests.

AED monitoring

A health center professional is responsible for yearly inspections of the authorized AEDs on University-owned property.
