Sindecuse does not perform Lab or X-ray work for employees if the order comes from outside of Sindecuse. For students, we do take outside lab orders from a home provider.

Test results for laboratory or standard diagnostic radiology procedures can be obtained quickly and cost-effectively at Sindecuse Health Center as part of your care. Tests may be ordered by health center medical staff during your clinic visit.

Laboratory tests

Some lab tests ordered by a health center clinician are performed in-house. These include:

  • SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) antigen
  • Influenza
  • KOH preps
  • Mononucleosis
  • Pregnancy
  • Strep
  • Urinalysis (except samples sent out to be cultured)

Important note about lab tests

Samples for other tests are sent to an outside reference laboratory鈥擝ronson Hospital. Results are made available to the clinician or physician who ordered the test and become part of your medical record.  The reference lab bills patients independently from Sindecuse Health Center. Patients should check with their insurance company to determine whether diagnostic tests sent to the reference lab are a covered benefit.  Bronson also offers lab services at , including some with early morning or extended hours.

Radiology (X-ray)

We perform general diagnostic procedures. Images are ready for immediate review by a health center clinician when ordered at our facility; all x-ray images are referred to a radiologist for further interpretation. X-ray images become part of your medical record.
